We are starting off with a recap of the angle between Dusty and Tully when Dusty slapped Baby Doll.
We are starting off the main episode with David and Tony at the podium with all The Russians.
Ivan and Krusher are pushing a match between Krusher and Dusty Rhodes for the Television Championship.
Nikita then warns Ric Flair that he is coming for him.
BUDDY LANDELL W/ J.J. DILLION VS. MACK JEFFERS
Buddy wants everyone to take notes of his performance in this match.
Looked like Buddy landed a stiff standing dropkick to Mack Jeffers’ face.
Match is just Buddy Landell showing his move set while getting over his heel persona. Nice quote when Buddy tells J.J. that this match isn’t even able to make him sweat.
Buddy Landell keeps going back to the arm of Mack Jeffers even though his finisher is the Figure Four leg lock.
Finally calls for the cameras to watch him as he puts the Figure Four on and gets the submission win. As is the case, J.J. is needed to get Buddy to let the hold go.
Back to the podium with Tony interviewing Tully Blanchard with Baby Doll.
He’s there to cut yet another promo on Dusty Rhodes to further his feud with Dusty but also issue an open challenge to the winner of tonight’s match with Krusher Khrushchev.
Back from Commercial with Tony and David throwing to Jim Crockett at Mid Atlantic making a presentation to Dusty Rhodes letting him know that the Television Championship is now the World Telvision Championship and is given a new belt and this is the one Billy Corgan just brought back compared to the one Tully was having that looked like one of the recent NWA Women’s Championship that Allysin Kay was having.
MAGNUM TA VS. DOUG VINES
Doug Vines literally walked right into the belly to belly suplex from Magnum to set a record for the fastest match to win.
Now Tony and David at the podium throwing to a promo by Ric Flair at the Blue Wall to push the promotion and the belt.
He says the fans deserve to see the best. He is cutting down Dusty, Magnum TA and all the rest of the faces why they don’t stand up to Ric Flair since he is the champion.
Great Promo from a great.
IVAN KOLOFF W/ NIKITA KOLOFF VS. JOSH STROUD
Starting off with a test of strength that finally ended when Ivan started to bite the shoulder of Stroud.
Stroud is finally able to get a little bit of offense but Ivan gains back the advantage with a kick coming off the ropes.
Nikita getting in some shots on Stroud after Ivan sends him to the outside.
Ivan hits the nasty looking sickle clothesline before putting on the Cobra hold to get the knockout victory.
Back to the podium with Tony for an Interview with Paul Jones to continue his feud with Jimmy Valiant where he is showing the operation scars from what was needed to repair the damage from Valiant.
They throw to the footage of Valiant attacking Barbarian and Superstar Graham where Paul Jones and his men take out Valiant using his own bat.
Jones says he is not through with Valiant yet.
Back from Commercial with Dusty Rhodes and the brand new Television Championship being interviewed by Tony at the podium.
Dusty is pushing his match tonight against Krusher and pushes his feud with Tully until Ivan Koloff comes out to confront Dusty asking where his partner Manny Fernandez is.
Dusty says he could get any apes from the zoo and beat the Russians.
ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER W/ PAUL JONES VS. GENE LIGON
If I wasn’t doing a soundoff for this I would be skipping this match as that is how much I like Abdullah the Butcher and his style of wrestling.
How the heck did the ref not see Paul Jones use his cane when he was literally standing right over him. He either has no vision or Jones needs to be smarter with his interference spots.
Pretty simple squash getting Abdullah over as a monster. Even after the pin he simply refused to move and no one can get him to move.
TULLY BLANCHARD W/ BABY DOLL VS. T.J. TRIPPE
Fans start the match chanting that they want Dusty to get under the skin of Tully.
Tully not a huge fan of Trippe slapping him but being smart and getting under the skin of Trippe to throw him off and get the advantage.
Nice strong knee thrusts into Trippe by Blanchard.
Blanchard hits his Springing Suplex off the rope to get the pinfall victory.
Back to Tony interviewing Thunderbolt Patterson and Manny Fernandez. Thunderbolt showing off his National Tag Team Title. Sounds like they are building to a tag team match with each team having one of the belts with the winning team taking over both titles.
Manny has a lot of energy but he loses track of what he is supposed to be saying and goes in circles a lot.
DUSTY RHODES VS. KHRUSHER KHRUSHCHEV WITH IVAN KOLOFF – NWA WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Dusty has the advantage early on in the match against Khrusher.
Tony and David putting over how Dusty is not being squashed by Khrusher which is usually the case with the Russians on Television.
With an eye gouge Khrusher was able to take the advantage and eventually throws Dusty to the outside so Ivan Koloff could send Dusty in the side of the ring.
Going to commercial. Seems to be the case that the Top of the hour always has a match crossing the hour mark to keep viewers. Seems to be the only time they leave the action in the ring.
Dusty is trying to come back but his selling the back after the shot by Ivan on the outside.
Khrusher is focusing on Dusty’s lower back with the bearhug. Dusty finally starts coming back with some headbutts and then a dropkick but sells the back injury after the drop kick so neither have the advantage at the moment.
Dusty is able to get the pinfall after Khrusher goes into the corner shoulder first and Dusty can hit the rollup.
The Russians beat down Dusty after the match with Nikita joining his comrades at ringside.
Manny, Magnum and Thunderbolt come out to chase off the Russians.
Back again to Tony with Thunderbolt and Manny to cut another promo where Manny has another chance to trip over his words.
I think Manny Fernandez is the only one who Thunderbolt cuts a better promo than. Really weird promo this time they didn’t have the one National Tag Team belt with them.
OLE & ARN ANDERSON VS. GERALD FINLEY & GEORGE SOUTH
Good thing they couldn’t show a lot of these jobs that George South did on Circle Squared as it would not have helped making him look like a possible threat.
Anderson’s working over George South’s arm as it there way.
When Arn is in, Ole is yelling instructs to Arn telling him to rip on the arm.
George South submits to the armbar where the Andersons didn’t let their opponents get any offence in.
Back from commercial with Tony interviewing Magnum TA at the backdrop with his United States Championship.
They are talking about his record finish earlier on. He mentions that they real work is not chasing a title but holding on to it as that is when the challengers come out.
He starts mentioning Tully being desperate for a title. Tells his challenges, who ever they are, sign on the dotted line.
BLACK BART W/ J.J. DILLION VS. RON ROSSI
See how this Black Bart match is compared to the one the week before on WorldWide.
Bart just not caring about the rules and bites up until the four count.
I really don’t understand how David Crockett commentates some times. Sometimes he is bashing the conduct of heels but he also puts over heels for breaking the rules as long as they break at four as it is using the rules to their advantage.
Black Bart gets the pinfall victory after his leg drop from the second turnbuckle.
THUNDERBOLT PATTERSON & MANNY FERNANDEZ VS. RANDY BARBER & JIM JEFFERS
Jeffers and Barber look like they are straight from the Carnival with the gear and facial hair.
Thunderbolt came out with his National Tag Team Championship belt.
Barber sold a knee from Manny Fernandez like he just got acid poured on his head. Great selling.
Double Thrust from Manny to lead to a pinfall victory for him and Thunderbolt Patterson.
Cut to Tony at the podium with Arn and Ole to cut a promo on Manny and Thunderbolt. Ole is wearing his National Tag Team Championship match.
Ole is continuing the idea that we are going to get a match with the winning team getting sole possession of the National Tag Team Championships.
