BREEZANGO (TYLER BREEZE & FANDANGO) VS. KILLIAN DAIN & DRAKE MAVERICK – NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDER’S MATCH
Don’t both Dain and Maverick have a history with Mickie James’ husband? Either way, it is a history we will not be hearing about tonight, I’m willing to bet.
Fandango is not to happy with Drake Maverick stealing his gimmick over doing the hip swivel.
A LOT of comedy in this one as you’d expect from both of these two teams.
Maverick gets the pinfall victory after telling Dain to powerslam him on to Breeze.
We see just before the show starts that we will be getting the LADDER MATCH first! This could kill us for the rest of the show.
Was anyone else wishing we would get Nita Strauss against during the Poppy performance?
SANTOS ESCOBAR VS. JORDAN DEVLIN – NXT CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP UNIFICATION LADDER MATCH
Santos Escobar is in full El Hijo Del Fantasma gear for his entrance as we see both titles hanging up. Do they have to grab both down?
This match has been literally a year in the making.
Devlin hits his head hard against the announce table but looks like he is okay so far.
The first ladder is brought out by Devlin and glad to see he was not the typical dumb wrestler and lifted it up before Escobar could drop kick it in to him.
Beautiful series with Escobar hitting a knee on Devlin when Devlin tried to hit his pull up suplex.
Legado Del Fantasma come out to knock Devlin off the top of the ladder and no Escobar starts his climb but Devlin gets up. How does Devlin not get the win because of the interference?
Santos Escobar pushes Devlin off the top and through a Ladder and takes down both titles to become the Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion.
MSK are being interviewed about winning the NXT Tag Team Champions last night.
THE WAY (CANDICE LERAE & INDI HARTWELL) VS. EMBER MOON & SHOTZI BLACKHEART – NXT WOMEN’S TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
What the heck was Shotzi Blackheart doing to/with her belt during the introductions?
Seriously, how is Beth Phoenix, a woman, still justifying a relationship between Indi Hartwell and the Stalker Dexter Lumis?
Ember Moon does a suck it tribute to Road Dogg on Candice LeRae.
Shotzi looked like she didn’t hit anything but mat and barricade and none of Indi or Candice.
Thought for a second The Way was going to win until Ember Moon broke up the pin.
After an eclipse from Moon, Blackheart hits a senton and they get the pinfall to retain.
BRONSON REED VS. JOHNNY GARGANO W/ AUSTIN THEORY – NXT NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Bronson Reed gets right in the face of Gargano during the introductions in a hilarious spot to scare Johnny.
Some of the things said by Beth and Wade would make Charles on Brooklyn Nine Nine blush.
Great selling from Gargano with the backstabber to Reed in the corner as he acted like it would with the damage to his legs.
Razors Edge from Reed but Tsunami misses and Gargano is able to get the kick in to his head.
Why did Theory have to put the foot up for Gargano when his arm was a half inch away?
Gargano hits the DDT and gets the pinfall victory to retain.
FINN BALOR VS. KARRION KROSS W/ SCARLETT – NXT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Was anyone else expecting Finn to come out as the Demon after seeing a picture of it on the screen?
Did anyone else think that was blood and not Finn’s paint rubbing off.
Really good mat wrestling and power in this one. Love that Balor is matching him with power.
Kross goes down awkward holding his chest so he is selling something really well or legit hurt his stomach area.
Definitely looks like it is an angle for Kross as Balor is now working over the chest of Kross.
Coup De Gras from Balor but he is not able to get the pinfall victory.
Thought they were going to go with the TKO ending when Kross was pounding the back of the head of Balor.
Kross hits Balor in the back of the head with his wicked forearm and gets the pinfall victory to become the NEW NXT Champion.
ADAM COLE VS. KYLE O’REILLY – UNSANCTIONED MATCH
Did you like the security keeping Cole and O’Reilly apart until the match started?
Do you think they should just make it say “Fodder” instead of “Security” on their backs.
Was the crowd actually chanting for Adam Cole at the start of this one?
Anyone else love that the only difference between a regular match and the unsanctioned match is the ref’s shirt.
Sick spot with the chain trip wiring Kyle out of no where before using it to help with the backstabber.
Not sure how I feel about the second thoughts by O’Reilly. He has had a lot of time to prepare for this.
Never a fun to see a guy get suplexed on the broadcast table and it not break.
Vic Joseph almost dropped an S bomb after Adam Cole smashed Kyle with the wooden object.
Who the heck holds vice grips the way Adam Cole was?
Love to see the call back with the low blow from Adam Cole.
Does anyone else love that the fans chanted “You Deserve It” after Cole decked the Ref for telling him not to do it?
Why would someone pin a guy after knowing they just knocked the ref out?
How did it take that long for that stage to give way like it did after that DDT?
The ref seems full of life for someone who just got knocked out to be out for so long.
Note that a chain is a great way to counter any submission.
When there is a perfectly good chair in the ring, you have to know the match isn’t over until it is used.
Last shot from Kyle O’Reilly but he doesn’t get the win by using someone else’s move.
The chair finally gets used and Kyle O’Reilly gets the pinfall victory in a great blow off match.
Post match, Adam Cole needs help after the finish as they get a stretcher for him.
Kyle limps to the back as he keeps looking back at Adam Cole in the ring being looked after by the medical staff.
