IMPACT WRESTLING SOUNDOFF – MAY 6, 2021

We get the final three competitors in the 6 way at Under Siege decided while also seeing the AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega, and the debut of Bullet Club member, El Phantasmo.

Jake Something picks up a win on BTI against Shera with a Black Hole Slam that is no where near as good as Abyss’.

Previously on Impact we see the situation with Kenny Omega and him having to be in the studio every week while he is champion.

CHRIS SABIN W/ JAMES STORM VS. RHINO W/ ERIC YOUNG, DEANER & JOE DOERING – UNDER SIEGE #1 CONTENDERS 6 WAY QUALIFICATION MATCH
Nice to see Sabin getting in the offense to start until Brandon Tolle has his back turned and Deaner trips up Sabin.
D’lo Brown makes a good point about how Rhino doesn’t age and now has more fire.
Enziguri sends Rhino to the outside. Great leg slap from Sabin on it too.
Deaner causes the distraction so Tolle doesn’t see the eye poke from Rhino.
Got to love the eyes on Rhino when told to go for the gore but he misses it allowing Sabin to roll up Rhino to win. Sabin is added to the six way.

Brian Myers is all pissed off about not getting into the 6 way when he runs into Rosemary. Myers says it is all Bull and gets headbutted by Black Taurus. Let’s see where it leads.

We have the Elite boys in the back with Don Callis being a Debbie Downer about Good Brothers losing somewhat often lately.

SUSAN W/ KIMBER LEE VS. TAYLOR WILDE
Can anyone other than Su Yung control Susan? I am thinking not.
Nice opening spot with Susan Cartwheeling but still staying in the go behind hold from Taylor Wilde.
Brian Hebner HAD to have seen Kimber Lee choking Taylor on the bottom rope.
Here comes Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K to possibly “help” Taylor Wilde.
Called it as Kaleb stops Kimber Lee from getting involved with Tenille taking out Susan allowing Taylor to get the suplex into a bridging pin for the win.
Post match, we see that Taylor still wants nothing to do with Tenille.

In the back, Deonna is being interviewed when Decay come in calling her a coward and when Deonna tries to leave Havok comes in about how she is ducking challengers.
Deonna says she is going to tell Scott to make a match between Rosemary and Havok to see who she challenges.

Video promo from Morrissey telling us about how he is not the guy we remember and tell us who he is now. He says we turned our backs on him when he stumbled.

ROHIT RAJU W/ SHERA VS. TREY MIGUEL – UNDER SIEGE #1 CONTENDERS 6 WAY QUALIFICATION MATCH
Trey Miguel has to win this match? I know underdogs have won so far but come on, Trey has to be in that match.
Smart heel work from Rohit Raju staying on the outside to get the momentum away from Trey.
The counters using the ropes and afterwards from Trey Miguel are insane.
Rohit is able to fight off Trey’s counters though as we head to a commercial break.
Back from commercial with Trey being choked out by Rohit using that bottom rope.
Rohit looking strong now and is working over the arm and shoulder of Trey after a sick move by Rohit.
Trey starts his comeback on Rohit but during it he hits a pretty sad looking stomp to the back of Rohit.
Northern Lights from Trey Miguel on Rohit but turns it into a pin when Rohit won’t tap. Only a two count though.
Trey Miguel gets the submission victory using that Arm Bar Sharpshooter thing.
Post match, Jake Something comes out and walks past Trey Miguel to take on Rohit and Shera.

Alisha Edwards is out of money and being kicked out of Swingers Palace but now she is offering a job until Trey comes in and we realize all the qualifiers are there and they are betting on themselves.
Bey tries to get in the head of Storm and Sabin about whether they can both be in that match and stay friends.

DOC GALLOWS W/ KARL ANDERSON, KENNY OMEGA & DON CALLIS VS. JUICE ROBINSON W/ DAVID FINLAY
Gallows starting off showing his power to start the match. He even pokes the eye of Juice before asking if he can see now.
What a throat punch from Gallows to Juice stopping Robinson in his tracks.
Juice Robinson selling the big boot from Gallows perfectly. Love when people just fall down instead of over selling.
Juice finally has an opening with Gallows missing an elbow drop leading to a nice series of moves by Robinson bringing Gallows to the mat.
Gallows gets the advantage back after Karl and Kenny cause a distraction leading to Gallows getting the pinfall victory.
Post match, Eddie Edwards has to make his way to the ring to save FinJuice from a beat down but gets beaten down himself. The Heels stand tall.

Deonna is leaving with Kimber and Susan but Scott stops them saying they didn’t get a chance to talk like she wanted. He heard the match she proposed and makes it to the dismay of Deonna.

VSK VS. EL PHANTASMO
Which is the better “club”? The Bullet Club or Canadian Club?
At least El Phantasmo made it look like he was doing a much stronger back rake but still it is a back rake.
VSK was able to make a quick comeback and actually look impressive against El Phantasmo.
El Phantasmo hits a supposed loaded boot superkick to get the pinfall victory. So much implied with The Referee being told to raise his boot in victory.

KIERA HOGAN W/ TASHA STEELZ VS. RACHAEL ELLERING W/ JORDYNNE GRACE
Tasha Steelz coming out looking like she has changed up her street clothes look with these tapings.
Kiera Hogan doesn’t seem happy having to wait for Ellering to get ready at the start of the match.
It’s a Kiera Hogan match? I think we all know who that means the referee for this match is. Yup, Brandon Tolle.
Nice heel work from Kiera having the choke on but positioning herself so Brandon Tolle can’t see but let’s face it, Brandon Tolle doesn’t see anything.
More great heel work from Kiera by slapping her rear end as she runs by Jordynne Grace before hitting a boot wash to Rachael in the corner.
Out of nowhere, Rachael Ellering hits a black hole slam variation to get the pinfall victory.

Don Callis walks into a shot of Moose when we thought we were getting just your typical backstage shot of a guy warming up.
Moose is having none of the mind games Callis is trying to play with him.
Moose tells Callis to shut up as he has a message to send and walks off.

Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz cutting a promo backstage when the tag champs come in with Rachael saying they had time to prepare and still lost.
Jordynne Grace doesn’t like being called a non factor by Tasha leading to a match between them next week.

MOOSE VS. JAMES STORM – UNDER SIEGE #1 CONTENDERS 6 WAY QUALIFICATION MATCH
Moose starts off by walking over to Storm and grabbing him by the throat. Storm gives up trying to knock Moose over and just trades blows Moose until he can send Moose to the floor.
Back from a commercial break with Storm in control of Moose now.
Moose is able to regain control after pulling down the knee of Storm on to the top rope.
Moose slowly deconstructing Storm so much that D’Lo brown puts Moose over for how well he is destroying Storm.
Time for the comeback from James Storm but he hurts his knee more after hitting a Code Breaker on Moose.
Storm can’t hit the Eye of the Storm because of his knee allowing Moose to hit the Spear and get the pinfall victory.
Post match, Moose grabs a chair and sets Storm up for a pilmanizing and actually does it before Sabin can make it to the ring.
